UWS Public Safety Update

The UWS Coalition's February 13th forum on public safety was a huge success!

We are grateful to our local NYPD leaders for joining us in a meaningful conversation and responding to audience questions.

Thank you again to Deputy Inspector Candida Pun-Sullivan, 20th Precinct; Captain Noreen Lazarus, 24th Precinct; and Detective Luis Moreira, Central Park Precinct Community Affairs.

The Upper West Side Coalition of Block Associations & Community Groups was formed in 2021 when a dozen block associations came together to create an umbrella organization to help community groups form and thrive. Block Associations and community groups unite neighbors to beautify our blocks, solve local issues and support programs like composting and recycling. We recognize that we all benefit from diverse and inclusive neighborhoods and we are committed to creating an open and welcoming environment for all members of the community. The more we connect with each other, the stronger we will be.
